When I began my fashion blog in seventh grade I was just playing around. I had no idea how big of a part of my life this blog would become. I had no idea that fashion would become a passion so powerful that I would become adamant to pursue it as a career. When I'm told that fashion is an impossible industry to succeed in I just laugh, because I know, but I don't care. I believe if you want something and are willing to put in more time and energy than is seemingly necessary, you're going to succeed.
Winter 2016
Fashion is something I want on a deeper level that just the appealing ascetics. When I feel confident in what I'm wearing, I'm a different person. My self-esteem is raised to a new level. When I'm shopping with a friend, and she looks into a full length mirror and breaks out into a huge smile, I feel accomplished.
To everyone out there questioning my IQ...(Unfortunately I've run into a few already.) Yes, fashion merchandising is a real degree, and no, it's not a "dumb girl" profession. I'm in the same classes as all the business students, and have the same drive to succeed as all other overachievers. So now when people ask me, "Why fashion merchandising?" My answer will simply be, "The fashion industry is my passion, clothes are my passion, self-esteem created through clothing is my passion."
Amazing post girl! Check out my work too!
