"Adulting"

I can't believe it is only Wednesday! Although I'm happy to be back in warm weather, it was sad to come home after an amazing Easter weekend with my family in Connecticut.

Returning home Monday night was such a rude awakening that the holiday was over. The second I got off the train I was greeted with a bent (nonfunctioning) iPhone 6 in my coat pocket (Yey!!). Thankfully, after a good 24-hours of grumpiness caused by a night of restless sleep, a 5 am wake up call, and my newly shattered iPhone, my phone was replaced and things returned to normal.

During my entire 24-hours of "adulting" I realized one thing: everyone I talked to was so helpful and kind. Unfortunately in the moment I was too irritated to realize this. So, I wrote this post as a reminder to focus on the simple happinesses in life... a smile, a door hold, flowers, and especially amazing friends and family.

Happy Wednesday!

My Childhood Nostalgia

As crazy as it is to say out loud.... I was just recently accepted into my first choice college and will be off in just a few short months! Although I'm overjoyed at being accepted into my dream school, I can feel my childhood slowly slipping away. When Invaluable contacted me to write about my childhood nostalgia, the timing could not have been any better! Transitioning from high school to college is such an exciting and scary time, and there is no better time to reflect on my childhood. Plus, I also haven't had the opportunity to share my senior pictures on my blog yet!

My go-to toy as a little girl were always Barbie dolls. I credit those dolls with my intense love of fashion still present today. The top shelf of my room is still home to two collector Barbie dolls I received as presents. When I was younger I didn't understand why I wasn't allowed to play with these "collector dolls." My parents tried to kindly explain to me that these were special dolls that had to be kept safe until I was older.

Invaluable is the "world's leading online marketplace for fine art, antiques and collectibles." It is the perfect place to find old items that you just can't find anywhere else. Like my cherished Barbie dolls, Invaluable has tons of collectibles that you will value forever. Hopefully you can find items as treasured as the pictures above.

PJ Party

Pajamas have been trending as street wear for a couple months now. Although I can't see myself embracing this trend, I am a big fan of comfy and cute pajamas.

Dolce & Gabbana

In honor of Dolce & Gabbana's new special capsule collection, Pyjama Party, I'm sharing my favorite pajama party acceptable looks for summer 2016.

Spring Travel Essentials

Traveling can be a pain in the butt. Thankfully however my spring break trip to the beach could not have gone more smoothly! With McDonald's sweet teas in hand, we made the five hour drive to Duck, North Carolina. Although we were first greeted with chilly weather, it warmed up as the week progressed. It felt like the summer time by the end of the week!

Spring Break 2016

Spring break is only a couple days away for me, and it's definitely an understatement to say I'm excited! I'm heading to the beach with family and friends for a week of much needed sunshine and relaxation. Coincidentally Shopbop's spring sale is also happening right now! It's the perfect time to stock up on spring + summer essentials, while also saving big. Here are some of my favorite beach ready pieces from the Shopbop sale ending today. (I also included a cute statement one piece I found at Wala Swimwear in the collage.)
